He was predeceased by: his parents, Reynolds L. and Alvina M. Montour (Parson); his sister Betty Pederson; his siblings-in-law, Jim Pedersen, Roger Buettner, Leroy Marohl and Darlene Marohl; and his grandson Mic Montour.

He is survived by: his wife Ila; his children, Lynn Retan (David) of Sun Prairie, Michael Montour (Jeri) of Shawano, Tim Montour (Ellen) of Menasha and Lori Pennock (Alan) of Marshall; his grandchildren, Jim Retan (Jill), Jessica Montour, Kelly Jarosinski (Jon), Richie Montour, Neil Montour (Calie), Angela Gennaro (Jason) and Scott Pennock; his great grandchildren, Oscar Jarosinski, Genevieve Jarosinski, Benjamin Retan and Samuel Retan; his sister Marcia Buettner; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Marohl (Mary) and Steve Marohl (Deb).
