She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Tietz and Alice Tietz (Lehman); her sisters, Anita Krueger (Paul "Dick"), Enid (David) and Wilke; and her son Gregory Thies.
She is survived by: her siblings, Wayne Tietz (Edith) of New London, Lorraine (Bob) and Dittman of Marion. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
