He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Barkow and Rose Barkow (Spohn); and his brother Tony Spohn. He is survived by: his wife Jean Barkow; his sons, Kevin Barkow (Tammy) and Karl Barkow, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ben, Brendan, Trinity and Amanda; his brother Lance Maltbey; and his pet Chip.
