Karen Esch Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Esch (Shawano, Wisconsin), born in Marinette, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 2, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Christopherson and Bernadette Christopherson (Maudrie); her husband James F. Esch; her brother Louis Christopherson; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Esch, Mary Reese, Mary Esch and Margaret Esch.

She is survived by: her daughter Michele Klusendorf (Greg) of Dodgeville, WI; her grandchildren, Anna (Sam Shilts) of Onalaska and Matthew Klusendorf (Kenzie) of Menasha; her daughter Kathy Blonde (Greg) of Waupaca; her granddaughter Katherine Blonde of Madison; her daughter Patti Barry (Tom) of DePere; her grandchildren, Maxwell Barry (Jordan Armstrong) of Cudahy, Brigette Barry and LaCrosse; her son Steve Esch (Wendy); her grandchildren, Sara Esch (Jared Beyer) of Shawano, Emma Esch (Ben Brown) of Shawano, Elizabeth Esch and Clayton James Esch of Shawano; her brothers, Paul Christopherson (Bev) of Mukwonago, WI and Ralph Christopherson (Annette) of DePere; her siblings-in-law, Jean Esch-Theobald of Madison, Rita Esch of Dodgeville, Joe Esch of Dodgeville and Pat Esch of Dodgeville; her friend Katie Bult of Clintonville; and also Kolby James Klusendorf. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the family requires masks be worn while in attendance and social distancing be followed.

In lieu of flowers and plants the family prefers memorials be made to Gillette Children Specialty Hospital in Minneapolis, MN in Karen's name.
