It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerre Dale Cummings of Shawano, Wisconsin, born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Cummings and Harriet Cummings (Turner); and his brother Richard Cummings of Wisconsin Rapids. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ramsdell (Ginny); his children, Deborah (Jerry Kurata) of Pleasanton, Diane (David Jewell) of Germantown, Daniel (Tammy) of Shawano, David (Ann) of Fountain Inn and Dean (Cassie) of Shawano; his brother James Cummings of Phillips; his nieces and nephews, Elin Solberg (Rune) and Erlend Streitlien (Kristina); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Olav and Aron; his grandchildren, Jessica Kurata, Krysta Kurata and Tyler Jewell (Steff); his great grandchildren, Ryan and Lincoln; his grandchildren, Steven Jewell (Lauren), Mindy Cummings, Holly Cummings and Lindsey Thackston (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Penelope, Abigail and Jude; and his grandchildren, Chelsey Witmer (Clayton), Kayley, Sadie Cummings and Carson Cummings.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests memorials to St. James Lutheran Church and School of Shawano or to the Alzheimer's Association in Jerre's name.
