He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Cotter and Marvel Cotter (Konoble); his in-laws, Clarence and Doris Jandt; his siblings, Russel, Chip, Louis Jr., Claira and Helen (Earl); his nephew Brian; his niece Jackie; his grandson Ryder; and his sister-in-law Dawn Schutt.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jandt; his children, Corey Cotter, Bobbi Cotter Martz and Adam Cotter (Sherry Baldwin); his grandchildren, Tyler Cotter (Kristalle), Skylar Cotter (Hunter), Serenity Schultz, Duane Schultz Jr. and Lahkota Martz; his children, Aubree, Arlexia, Kyrie, Kaylee, Aiyanna, Carter, Ezra, Faith, Kingston, James and Victoria; his brother Mike Cotter (Karen); and his sisters-in-law, Donna Cotter, Cheryle Cheslock, Lois Flaig (Jim) and Gayle Springborn (Terry Tonn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
