He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Sager and Joyce Sager (Bruch) of Black Creek, Wisconsin.. He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his children, Jess Sager, Hans Sager (Stephanie) and Heidi Cynor (Jamie); his grandchildren, Anna Sager, Kara Sager, Aliya Cynor and Isabella Cynor; and his sister Natalie Hinze.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano.
