He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Groot and Lucille De Groot (Smits); his siblings, Donna De Groot and Bob De Groot; and his brothers-in-law, Happy Johnston and Bob Oestrich.
He is survived by: his wife Renee Hill; his sons, Jason, Beau and Clint De Groot (Tabitha); his siblings, Bonnie Johnston and Joe De Groot (Sharon); and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn De Groot, Kathy Enz (Bill), Jerry De Groot (Sharon) and Lynn De Groot-Oestrich. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, close friends and his 4 furry friends.
