Barbara Jean Allard Obituary

Barbara Jean Allard aged 67 of Shawano, Wisconsin passed away on February 18, 2023 in the comfort of her home with her loving companion of 30 years and her beloved dog at her side. Barb was born on August 2, 1955, in New London, Wisconsin to Della (Raschke) Wisnefske and Edward Wisnefske. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1973. She started work at Creative Converting on May 14, 1973, at the age of 17, and spent her entire career there. She retired on April 9, 2020. Barb grew up on a farm, where she developed a love of animals, especially dogs. She particularly loved Airedales and owned several over the years. Her pups were her life, and while she will be missed by Laker, Barb looked forward to being reunited with all her others. She enjoyed football and going to Packer games. Her favorite vacations were in Aruba. She could get the other vacationers dancing, and she went so often, she was made an honorary citizen! She also had fun going to the casino, and sometimes she even came out ahead. She was a snowmobiler, golfer, and bowler. In later years, she played Wii bowling for the annual family Christmas championship. We think she secretly practiced. She also loved the lake, whether it was sitting in the backyard with a Kesslers old fashioned in hand watching the fishermen or cruising around in the pontoon boat. She referred to her home as her castle, and loved spending time there more than anywhere else, often watching Hallmark or Lifetime movies. She kept her home, cars, and boat meticulously clean and neat. Cleaning was not a chore for her as she found it very therapeutic. She could be counted on to always be there for everyone. She was the best friend and daughter and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. She could make anyone feel comfortable and welcome. Barb was a beautiful and strong woman who faced her lengthy illness bravely and without complaint. She was loved very much by so many and will be deeply missed.

Barb's survivors include: her longtime companion, Otto Mogged; Otto's children Kim Burie (Matt), Brian Mogged (special friend, Cynthia Lettermann), Kevin Mogged (Lydia); Otto's granddaughter Andrea; brother John Wisnefske (Shirley); sister-in-law Kristine James; nephews Steve Wisnefske, Jason Wisnefske, and Tim Wisnefske; goddaughter Casey Rosenberg; her devoted dog, Laker; and many other family members and friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Della Wisnefske and her brother, Jim Wisnefske.

By Barb's request, there will be no visitation.

The family wishes to thank ThedaCare Hospice Care Wisconsin along with the family's many friends and family members for their support and assistance during Barb's illness.
