He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferd Schrank and Doris Schrank; and his siblings, Russ Schrank, Donald Schrank and Sharon Schrank.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Schrank (Helmer); his daughters, Amanda Bernal (Russ), Danielle Conchola and Lindsey Schrank; and his siblings, Allyn Schrank (Karen) of Arizona, Richard Schrank of Rockford, Illinois, Janice Schrank of Oshkosh, Cheryl LaFontaine (Jim) of Oshkosh and Donna Czipri (Hans) of Oshkosh. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
