He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Hei and Grace Vande Hei (Fonder); his son Paul Vande Hei; his parents-in-law, Harold and Dorothy Giese; and his sister-in-law Sandy Hoffman.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Yvonne "Toots" Rohan (Steve) and Kathy "Peanut" Skeens (Rick); his grandchildren, Ben "Benny" (Chelsea), Mackenzie, Cole, Samantha "Hammy" (Corey), Allie "Al" (Rey Jose), Nathan (Kristy), Tyler, Emma "Em" (Matthew), Levi "Fred" (Taylor) and Abigail "Wilma"; and his brother Chris Vande Hei (Marge). He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
