He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Katch and Frances Katch (Rucinski); and his son-in-law Glen Kranzusch. He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Ritchie (Doug), Sandra Potter (Charles Jr.) and Janean Kranzusch; his grandchildren, Jonathan Ritchie (Autumn), Joshua Ritchie (Shannon), Sarah Sugden (Justin) and Charles Potter III (Cassie Frankovich); his great grandchildren, Elliott, Lillian, Selah, Ezekiel, Lucy, Alina and Caelyn June; and his sister Regina Goebel (Robert). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
