With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Harriet (Vander Wyst) Moericke of Seymour, Wisconsin, born in Appleton, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 23, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Wyst and Cecelia Vander Wyst (Wydeven) of Little Chute; her husband Clarence Moericke; her sister Virginia Wydeven; and her close friend Oscar Calanca.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Wickesberg of Seymour and Cynthia McGinnis (Pat) of Winneconne; her granddaughters, Jessica Kain of Oshkosh, Michelle Skenandore (Duane Jr.) of Oneida and Rachel Thibodeau (Kyle) of Winchester; her great grandchildren, Melinda Hebbe of Oshkosh, Rayauna Skenandore of Oneida, Jaxon Skenandore of Oneida, Duane Skenandore III of Oneida and River Thibodeau of Winchester; and her brother-in-law Howard Moericke of North Dakota. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joan's name are being established for: the St. Mary's Faith Formation Program for needy students, and the St. Thomas Cemetery for maintenance.
