He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Vande Hei (Hoffman); his parents-in-law, George and Helen Garrity; his siblings, Francis (Dolores), Vande Hei, Dave Vande Hei (Sunny), Dorothy Vande, Ruth Blonde (Robert) and Arlene Boeya (James); his daughter Jane Angrabright; and his grandson Donald Rothbauer.

He is survived by: his father Albert Hei; his wife Helen A. Garrity (De Pere) of Joseph's Church; and his children, Daniel Vande Hei, Green Bay, Michael Vande Hei (Cathy), Peter Vande Hei, Judy Townsend (Rayce) of Lewistown, MT, Seymour, Gerald Vande Hei (Ann), Little Suamico, Jill Vande Hei (Robert Rudnick), Laura Stuckert, Allen Vande Hei (Nicole) and Joy Anderson (Josh). He is also survived by 36 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
