He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schottler and Monica Schottler (Gainey); and his brother Stephen. He is survived by: his wife Norita Schottler (Seleen); his children, Mark Schottler (Jennifer) of Oak Park and Anne Saffert (Al) of Golden Valley, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Sam, Ellie, Ivy Schottler (Mark), Kali, Brenna and Mack Saffert (Anne); and his siblings, Mary Crandall (David), Julie Hildebrand (Michael), David Schottler (Mary) and Margie Hamel (Joe). He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; and 14 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Gigi's Playhouse Twin Cities, Shriners Hospital for Children of Chicago, or Wausau Area Mobile Meals.
