He was predeceased by: his father Delbert Bernhardt; his uncles, Roy and Harris Thresher (Elsie); his aunt Pearl Johnson; and his brother Keith Bernhardt.
He is survived by: his son Kellen Bernhardt (Erica) of Kronenwetter; his grandchildren, Beckham and Ruby Bernhardt; his sisters, Sharon Bernhardt of Schofield and Sue Bernhardt of Schofield; his niece Korey Bernhardt; his nephew Jeff Bernhardt; and his cousins, Keith Johnson (Julie), Bob Johnson, Lowell Johnson and Jeanine Preboski. He is also survived by many other cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Bernie may be directed to the family.
