He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Deffner and Betty Lou Deffner (Lehman); and his parents-in-law, James Schumacher and Garnett Schenzel. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Deffner (Schumacher); his sons, Caleb Deffner (Jennifer "JJ") and Chad Deffner; his grandchildren, Crosby and Kessel; and his siblings, Arnold Deffner, Barbara Cybela (Dale), Ronald Deffner (Karen), Jeanette Wiskow (Seth), Joseph Deffner (Karen) and David Deffner (Paula). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
