He is survived by: his wife Barbara Birler; his children, Cheryl Hauser (Mark), Penny Augustin (Edward), Tad Doerflinger (Patricia) and Amy Giese; his grandchildren, Steven, Matthew, Joseph, Angela, Ryan, Emily and Erik; and his great grandchildren, Lucie, Sylvie and Cooper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
