He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Samantha Whitehead; and his siblings, Chester Scherf (late Gloria) and Eunice Goeppert (late Robert). He is survived by: his wife Louise Ballbach; his children, Stewart Scherf (late Richard Harvey) of Sacramento, CA, Kerry Scherf of Random Lake, Connie Murphy (Gary) of Fredonia and Steve Scherf of Saukville; his grandchildren, Brook, Jesse Scherf-Hetchler and Kyle Murphy (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Tristen and Oliver; and his sister Vivian "Mutz" Scherf-Laabs (late Arnold). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
