He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Blackmon and Ruby Blackmon; his brother Bill; his sister-in-law Marilyn; and his nephew Scott Blackmon.

He is survived by: his uncle John; his wife Esther; his children, Lisa Johnson (Bill), Paul Blackmon (Sandy), Linda Vick (Alan) and Jean Dallman (Tim); and his sister Mary LeMay (Merle). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
