It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene I. Weitzel of Sauk City, Wisconsin, born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ireneus Weitzel and Almeda Weitzel (Sherman); his son Douglas; and his sister Beulah "Tooty" Roessler. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Schonenberger; his children, David, Aimee Becker (Michael) and Renee Frick; his grandchildren, Tyler, Maddie, Spencer, Greta and Davis; his siblings, Mary Carver (Richard), Donald Weitzel, Ronald Weitzel, Annamarie Casey and Judy Marion; and also, Amy Schonenberger and Joni Schonenberger. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
