He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Harry Jacobson and Esther Minnie Schuetz; his former wife Judith Crawford; his wife Cynthia Fleckenstein (Cindy); his children, Wendy Rabe (Mark) of Onalaska and Brian Jacobson (Lucy) of La Crosse; his stepson Scott Fleckenstein of West Salem; his grandchildren, Taylor Rabe (Chelsea) of North Carolina, Parker Rabe (Maggie) of La Crosse, Sierra Arnold (Michael) of La Crosse, Noah of La Crosse and Isaac Jacobson of La Crosse; his stepgrandchildren, Mahlivanh and Benjamin Fleckenstein of West Salem; and his great grandchildren, Raegan, Reese and Bryce Rabe of North Carolina.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association and to Bethany Free Church.
