He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Marshall and Van Wie; his wife Shirley Mae; his daughter Susan Marie Van Wie; his siblings, Jack Van Wie, Donald Van Wie, Gene Van Wie and Marjorie Sekerak; and his siblings-in-law, Dolores Van Wie, Penelope Van Wie and Bill Sekerak.
He is survived by: his children, James Arthur Van Wie (Sue) of Westfield, WI, Patti Lynn Plough (Dan) of Key West, FL and Jeffrey Alan Van Wie (Lori) of Salem, WI; his grandchildren, Justin J. Van Wie (Dorota), Emily Dock (Donovan), Joey Van Wie (Crystal), Jessica Benedict (Jimmi), Jenna Daniele (Brian), Amber Glaves (Dan), Katie Van Wie (Jake Jenkins) and Jared Van Wie; his great grandchildren, Starlyn Van Wie, Wolf Van Wie, Cynjun Van Wie, Quinn Dock, Mia Dock, Gianna Dock, Natalie Van Wie, Cadence Benedict, Jeremiah Benedict, Liam Goes, Jackson Glaves, Kelsie Glaves, Masie Jenkins and Judson Jenkins; and his sister-in-law Louise Van Wie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
