He is survived by: his wife Madaline; his children, Joseph III Arvai (Cindy), David Arvai (Susan) and Barbara Larrabee (David); his grandchildren, Joseph IV Arvai (Betsey), David Arvai Jr. (Lisa), Cindy Fergusen (Michael), Gary Parker (Jen) and Michael Goll; his great grandchildren, Joseph V, Chloe Arvai, Talia, Olivia Arvai, Sophie, Max Fergusen, Jackson and Elizabeth Parker; and his sister Theresa Cariello (Rudy).
