He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Hesselberg and Ann Hesselberg (Heintz); his parents-in-law, Frank and Viola Breidel (Witt); his grandson Christopher Adair; his siblings, Lucille Severson, Bill Hesselberg, Bud Hesselberg, Donnie Hesselberg, Doug Hesselberg, Bob Hesselberg, Charles Hesselberg and Larry Hesselberg; and his parents-in-law, Lucille Hesselberg, Lois Hesselberg, Lester Bjorkman, Dave Smith, Dolora Labus and Don Weber.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Breidel; his daughters, Sue Reget (Jeff), Kim Adair (Chuck) and Chris Bradshaw (Dave); his granddaughters, Alexis Hagedorn (Jeremiah), Allie Fadness (Will), Maddie Bradshaw (Jordan Brown) and Sydney Bradshaw (Jacob Schmidt); his great grandchildren, Jaxson Hagedorn and Fadness; his siblings, Stanley Hesselberg, JoAnn Bjorkman, Joe Hesselberg (Barb), Florence Peters (Don), Jean Flock (Jim), Dennis Hesselberg (Sue) and Mitzi Smith; and his parents-in-law, Bonnie Howe, Karen Hesselberg, Carol Hesselberg, Gene Breidel (Mary), Donnie Breidel (Rhea), Kathy Weber, Tommy Breidel (Paula), Mary Meyer (Rick) and Dennis Labus (Terre). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
