Gabriel Escalante Obituary

Gabriel L. Escalante (Gabe). Gabe was born on November 8, 1976, in Tucson, Arizona. He passed away on July 26, 2017 at the age of forty. He is survived by his daughter Mariah, mother Rosa, father Jaime, sister Carolina, brother Jaime Mario, and many other family members and countless friends. Gabe was a talented hair stylist who knew how to make everyone he encountered feel special, loved, important, and motivated.

He was the best of listeners because he sincerely cared about what others had to say. He had an uplifting smile, contagious laugh and was quite the jokester. Gabe loved the outdoors, had a passion for adrenalin and "lived life on the edge" as he would always preach and remind others to do the same. Gabe was always embarking on a new adventure accompanied by his Chihuahuas "Monster" "Bristol" and "Baby Girl." There was nothing Gabe couldn't do and if he did not know how, he would just YouTube the task and master it.

Gabe was a true joy and treat to be around, passionate about life, always telling everyone to be positive. He was always there when you needed him, willing and ready to help, putting others before himself. Gabe will be extremely missed by all and his words and laughter will echo until eternity. Even at the time of his death, Gabe was thinking of his loved ones when he uttered his last words, "Tell them not to worry, it's going to be okay." A mass will be held in honor of Gabe on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Joseph Catholic Church located at 215 S .Craycroft Road, Tucson, AZ 85711.
