He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Olson and Lucille Olson (Becker); his sister Rose Gabrielson; and his son-in-law Russ Gabrielson. He is survived by: his wife Hedwig M. Zueger of St. Germain, WI; his children, Annette Smerlinski (John), David Stehr (Jore), Joe Pinnow (Jacqueline), Alan Pinnow (Diane) and Pete Pinnow (Diana); his grandchildren, Samuel Smerlinski, Ariana Smerlinski, Adam Pinnow, Elisabeth Becker (Michael), Chalee Pinnow, Lauren McGaughran (Christopher), Jason Pinnow (Rachel) and Aaron Pinnow; and his great grandchildren, Calvin Becker, Cale Becker and Sophia McGaughran.
