She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Hougas and Hartha Hougas (Jacobsen); her husband George Hartshorn; and her brothers, Marvin Hougas Jr. and Leslie Hougas.
She is survived by: her daughter Denise Hartshorn Barr of Ottawa; her significant other Dean Capsel of St. Germain, Wisconsin; her son Kevin Hartshorn (Troy Sheehan) of Kissimmee, Florida; her grandchildren, Annette Barr of Ottawa and Ryan Barr (late Stephana) of Hennepin; her great grandchildren, Lena Barr (Logan Cox) of Toluca and Hunter Barr of Hennepin; and her siblings, Betty Pitstick, Karen Rock of Ottawa and Ken Hougas of Naperville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home (1601 E Norris Dr, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
