He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Thiry; his sons, Jeff Knuth (Roxanne), William R. Thiry Jr. (Holly), Daniel Thiry (Cathy) and Mark Thiry (Michele); his grandchildren, Megan Knuth, Benjamin, Joseph and Timothy Thiry; and his brothers-in-law, John Krause (Lynn) and Mark Krause (Stephanie). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
