She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Pfeifer and Viola Pfeifer (Enders) of Dotyville; her husband Jerome Schaefer; her siblings, Vi Loehr (Dick) and Rollie Pfeifer; her siblings-in-law, Ambrose Vogds, Wally Schaefer (Mary Jane), Herbert Schaefer, Alice Krebsbach (Ruben), LaVerne Braun (Alphonse), Florence Grahl, Irene Schaefer and Thelma Schaefer; her grandson Ryan Doyle; and her great grandchild Willow Burg.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Schaefer (Sharon), Ronald Schaefer (Judy), Cheryl Sauer, Mary Dugenske (Ron), Nancy Pieper (Mike), David Schaefer, Lori Schaefer (Pete Dreiling), Susan Boyke (Dave), Jean Pitzen (Dave), Gary Schaefer (Julie), Mark Schaefer (Kim Jennaro) and Joseph Schaefer; her friend Jerry Sauer; her sister Carol Vogds; and her siblings-in-law, Theresa Pfeifer, Marian Payant (Don), Connie Keyes, Bernard Schaefer, Donald Schaefer (Kathy), Gerald Schaefer (Vicki), Harold Schaefer and Marvin Grahl. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Thelma's honor to St. Agnes Hospital Home Care & Hospice, to whom her family extends their sincere gratitude, especially to Lori, Julie, and Chaplain Tim for their care and compassion.
