He was predeceased by: his parents, John Winkler and Irene Winkler (Ruffing); his wife Adeline Stephanie; his daughter Elizabeth; his parents-in-law, Norbert and Angela Stephanie; his siblings, James Winkler (Barbara Winkler Merten) and Jackie Zimmerman (John); his siblings-in-law, Lydia Turba, Stanley Stephanie, Lester Stephanie (Betty) and Paul Wagner; and his close friend Rita Immel.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Winkler (Pat) of St. Cloud, Mark Winkler (Mary Jo) of St. Cloud, Dale Winkler (Dawn) of Valders, Chris Goeser (Pete) of St. Cloud, Eileen Diedrich (John) of St. Cloud, Mary Daun (Don) of St. Cloud and Cindy Johnson (Troy) of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Stacy Lautenbach (Jacob), Jenny Winkler (Grant Sippel), Sarah Preissner (Kyle), Matthew Winkler (Kate), Nicholas Winkler (Anna), Katelynn Hechel (David), Elizabeth Winkler, Jessica Winkler (AJ Mashock), Tanner, Kelli Jo Winkler, Nicole Goeser (Aaron Wehner), Stephanie Goeser, Jackie Lallier (Brian), Jodi Kempf (Jason), Jill Diedrich, Jessica Diedrich (Trevor Roehrig), Alisha Daun (Cody Liebe), Jacob Daun (Rachel), Devon and Brooke Johnson; his great grandchildren, Nova Lautenbach, Madelynn, Brooklynn Hechel, Eleanor Winkler, Everleigh Mashock and Quinn Kempf; and his siblings-in-law, Juliana Ruffing (Richard) of New Holstein, Valeria Kempf (Larry) of Kiel, Kathy Wagner of Mount Calvary, Ann Hage (Art) of Appleton and Kenneth Turba of St. Anna.
