He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Matthews and Agnes Matthews (Kitowski); and his siblings, Joann Matthews, Leonard Matthews (Marilyn) and Jerome Matthews.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Matthews; his children, Scott Matthews (Mitchell Illichmann) and Ann Key; his granddaughter Alexandria Key; his siblings, Marilyn Vanderhei and Don Matthews; and his pets, Tony and Shadow.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ritchay Funeral Home (1950 12th St S, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494). The military honors was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 6:00 PM.
