He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Buchmann and Vera Buchmann; his parents-in-law, Anthony and Elizabeth Breuer; and his son Douglas J. Buchmann.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille K. Breuer; his children, Michele Pollasch (Ronald), Richard Buchmann, Curt Buchmann (Lisa) and Jessica Knaus (Bill); his daughter-in-law Ginger Buchmann; his grandchildren, Aaron, Kassidy Pollasch, Briana, Ashley Buchmann, Jackson, Owen, Gavin Knaus and Nolan Buchmann; and his sister Loretta Lackas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters/brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
