James Joseph Dohms Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Joseph Dohms of Rothschild, Wisconsin, born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Dohms (Stoelb) and Nicholas Dohms; his wife Caroline; and his sisters, Virginia Netter, Mary Danielle Dohms, Ann Celeen Dohms and Letitia Singh (Letty).
He is survived by: his children, Poncho, Bapes, Bronco and Beano; his grandchildren, Cleopatra, Queen of Hearts, Pistol, Miss Amanda, Mr Adam and Big Al; his children, Denise Machak (Don) of Mosinee, Catherine Valentyne (Don) of Waupaca, Stephen Dohms (Naomi) of Wausau, Valerie Dohms (Shawn Stashek) of Stevens Point and Janet Weber (Paul) of Verona; his siblings, Sister Margaret Mary Dohms of Trinity Woods and Daniel (Diane) of Sheboygan; his sister-in-law Karen Dabbert (Milt) of Wauwatosa; and his grandchildren, Tara Groth (Clayton) of Cottage Grove, Jesse Machak (Gina) of Mosinee, Travis Valentyne (Ashley) of Anna, Jamie Valentyne-Fletcher (Travis Fletcher) of DeForest, Emily Dohms of Eau Claire, Elizabeth Harter (Andrew) of Eau Claire, Amanda Gottschalk of Nashville, Tenn, Adam Gottschalk of Milwaukee and Allie Weber of Madison. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
After she lost her battle with Alzheimer's in June 2021, Jim adapted to her absence the best he could.
