He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel Donovan and Mary Jane Donovan (Foley); his spouse Marilyn C. Donovan (Clark); his children, Joanne Martin (David) of Norton, Betsy Donovan Fluke of East Bridgewater, Janet Dugan (Grant) of Auburn, NH, Daniel L. Donovan (Patricia) of Sandwich and South Yarmouth; and his siblings, Betty Madden and Catherine Marshall. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
