He was predeceased by: his parents, John Knebes and Leone Knebes (Pretasky). He is survived by: his wife Chris; his children, Lisa Davis (Ben), Kathy Lobdell (Rod), John Knebes (Jonette), Kimberly Dummer (Mark), Amy Williamson (Kipp), Matthew Knebes (Jenny), Becky Kyser (Dave) and Nicky Wakeen; his sister Kay Masak; and his cousins, Bud, Dave, Mike Pretasky and Jack. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (401 16th Ave N, Bangor, WI 54614). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
