She was predeceased by : her parents, Dr. Thomas Dorrance and Helen Dorrance; her sister Susan Dykstra; and her grandson Aaron Bixler. She is survived by : her husband Paul Bixler; her children, Jeffery (Gail), Mike (Pennie) and Chris (Stephanie); and her grandchildren, Jacob, Anna, Rachel, Bridgette and Rosa Grace.
