He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence H. and Hattie; his wife Janet Mary Maier; his children, Mary Hattie and Michael; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Butzlaff, Renee Updike, Andrew and Ian Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory (Mary), Debra Ellis (Don), Susan Updike (Ron), Pat (Kay), Mark (Jennifer), Tina Cheever and Doug (Robin); his daughter-in-law Becky; his grandson Austin Conte; his brother David Cheever; and his brothers-in-law, Calvin Maier (Eunice) and Duane Seidlitz. He is also survived by many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
