He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hinkel and Edith Hinkel (Bolint); his spouse Jerda Johnson; his daughter Gail Johnson; his grandson Tony Hinkel; and his siblings, Everette Hinkel, Laverne Hinkel and Ella Engendorf.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Hinkel (Linda) of Grantsburg, Jeff Hinkel (Trudy) of Roberts and Diane (Kevin Rhone) of New Richmond; and his son-in-law Ken Johnson of Deer Park. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
