Thomas Mathys Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Mathys of River Falls, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Edward "Ed" Mathys and Elizabeth Louise "Betty Lou" Mathys; his sister-in-law Sandy Mathys; his parents-in-law, Lawrence William "Bill" Pechacek and Henrietta Pechacek; and his nephew Raymond Pechacek.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Mathys; his daughter Kelly Bowen (Steve); his grandchildren, Henry, Wally and Rosie; his sons, Michael Mathys and Brian Mathys (Laura); his grandsons, Tommy and Zach; his uncle David Moelter; and his brothers, Karl Mathys (Marie) and Edward "Ernie" Mathys. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 N Knowles Ave, New Richmond, WI 54017). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to help honor Tom's legacy through a future donation or memorial in his name.
