He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Colburn and Bernice Colburn; his in-laws, Ray and Millie Wilhelm; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Holland, Julie Kettner (Mike), Don Wilhelm and Dick Timm.
He is survived by: his wife Dana Colburn; his children, Troy Colburn (Shana), Karn Huston, Shawn Colburn (Laura Wolfe) and Darcie Leonard (Brian); his sister Doris Timm; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Avestruz (Alner), Dick Wilhelm (Vi) and George Holland. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
