She was predeceased by : her husband Jeffrey Davison; her parents, Joyce Sommerdorf and Rose Sommerdorf; and her brother Daniel Sommerdorf.

The family will accept contributions to help cover funeral expenses instead of flowers (checks payable to Rita's brother Gerald Sommerdorf).
