He was predeceased by: his father Norman Ahrens; his sister Rita; his brother-in-law Marv Zilka; his sister Linda Peura; and his brother-in-law Greg Nordstrom.
He is survived by: his mother Esther Ahrens; his wife Lucinda Nordstrom; his children, Lisa Dickerson (Becket) and Christopher Ahrens; and his siblings-in-law, Torre Nordstrom, Linda Nordstrom and Russ Peura.
