It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Fern of River Falls, Wisconsin, born in Melrose, Minnesota, who passed away on March 20, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Fern and Loretta Fern (Knapp); his son Steven; his brothers, Edward Fern, Ralph Fern (Mary Jane), David Fern (Sylvia) and Ronald Fern; his sister-in-law Stella Fern; and his father-in-law Walter Heldt.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Heldt of Balsam Lake; his friend Jeff; his daughter Beth Williams (Shawn) of Owatonna; his grandchildren, Makenzie Michael, Layla, Olivia and Lane Vierling; his stepgrandchildren, Davion, Damahntae, Da'Mario, Dajah Nae and Dalilah Williams; his siblings, Thomas Fern (Jo), Gerald Fern, Alfred Fern Jr., James Fern and Jeannette Fisher (Paul); his mother-in-law Patricia Heldt; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne Pedersen (Peder), Joan Heldt and Donald Heldt (Pam).
