He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Yanish and Rochelle Yanish (Rock); and his brother-in-law DeWayne Eldred. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Jeannine Olson (Brad), Lynette Richards (Jim), Cathy Hults (Dave) and Jim Yanish (Holly); his grandchildren, Rachel Olson (Oliver Warner), David Yanish (Helena), Michael Richards, Hailey Hults, Molly Clyne (Lee) and David Hults (Mariah Churchill); and his sister Rita Eldred.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church (211 E Division St, River Falls, WI 54022). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:10 PM.
