Howard Lecander Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Howard Lecander of River Falls, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Howard left this world on November 15, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lecander and Myrtle Lecander; his wife Jan Monteith; and his sisters, Carol Mullen, Joann Hennessy, Ruthie DuBois and Bonnie Lundell.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Sheila) and Kay Kauzlarich (Chuck); his grandchildren, Ashely Traver (Kurt), Cassie Kauzlarich (Jonathon Beutler), Nikki Scheiller (Ryan Claussen), Chelsea and Kaelyn; his great grandchildren, Benek Traver and Rylee Claussen; and his siblings, Peter (Donna), Lois Moe (Wayne) and Elaine Heittman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 N Knowles Ave, New Richmond, WI 54017). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Howard. The activities and music programs brought much joy to Howard during his stay in Memory Care and we wish to do a donation in his name so other residents may continue to enjoy this gift.
