He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhardt Volkmann and Norma Volkmann (Roa); his wife Jean Ann Sukowatey; and his son Jon. He is survived by: his children, Valerie Bjerstedt (Steve), Stephanie Kiecker (Chris) and David Volkmann (Donna). He is also survived by his 10 grand-children and 8 great-grandchildren.
