He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garin and Eunice Garin. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Garin; his children, Peter Garin (Jacque) and Alisa Duncanson (Sean); his grandchildren, Nicholas Duncanson, Madison Garin, Benjamin Duncanson, Mason Garin, Connor Duncanson, Rachel Garin and Rebekah Garin; and his brothers, Jim Garin (Marilynn), Robert Garin (Carol), Jack Garin (Judy) and Mike Garin (Albita). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
