He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo G. Ballwanz and Constance C. Schraven Ballwanz; his wife Judith A. Thill; his brother Robert Ballwanz; and his sons-in-law, Joe Shafer and Roger Oosterhouse.
He is survived by: his children, Ed Ballwanz of Princeton, Jane Kolberg (Bill) of Ripon, LuAnn Packer (Jeff) of Ripon and Rick Ballwanz of Waukesha; his stepchildren, Dan Kedinger (Sylvia) of Fond, Lac and Lynn Oosterhouse of Wild Rose; his grandchildren, Jordan Ballwanz (Lac) of Fond, Cody Kolberg (Ashley) of Ripon, Kaycee Kolberg of Beaver Dam and Jason Dilts (Susan) of Hillsboro, OR; his stepgrandchildren, Kristi Shafer, Kari Shafer and Kourtni Kedinger; his great grandchild Walter Kolberg; and his siblings, Donald Ballwanz (Diana) of Neshkoro, Rosalie Ballwanz of Oconomowoc, Dale Ballwanz of Fond, Lac and Linda Ingenthron (Kevin) of Little Chute.
In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
