He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDonald and Winifred McDonald (Wilson). He is survived by: his wife Sarah Ann of Ripon; his sons, Ross McDonald of Groomsport, Craig McDonald (Sandra) of Groomsport, Scott McDonald of Bangor and Martin McDonald of Bangor; his grandson Carter McDonald; and his siblings, Ian McDonald (Anne) and Bertha Rea of Bangor.
